Mumbai Teenager Arrested for Sexually Assaulting 6-Year-Old Girl: Police Official

In a disturbing incident, a teenage boy has been apprehended for sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl in Vakola, western Mumbai, according to a police official. The incident occurred on Wednesday while the young girl was on her way to the restroom, as reported by the Vakola police station official.
“The 18-year-old accused allegedly inserted his finger into her private parts. Once the girl shared her harrowing experience with her parents, a police case was filed under the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for rape and other offenses,” stated the official.
Following his arrest, the accused has been placed in police custody for a period of four days. The authorities are actively investigating the case and collecting evidence to ensure justice is served.
