Man spends $15,000 creating a wooden Tesla Cybertruck and plans to give it to Elon Musk

Vietnamese Woodworker Turns Heads with Impressive Wooden Replica of Tesla Cybertruck

A Vietnamese man has accomplished an incredible feat by constructing a fully functional wooden replica of Tesla’s highly-anticipated Cybertruck. Truong Van Dao of Bac Ninh, a small town in northern Vietnam, has handcrafted an entire collection of functional wooden vehicles, including a tank, a Bugatti replica, and a child-sized Mercedes AVTR. But his most impressive creation has been the wooden replica of the new Tesla Cybertruck.

Utilizing his skills as a woodworker and car enthusiast, Dao has made headlines with his incredible creation. The Cybertruck, along with a functional Cyberquad that fits in the truck replica’s trunk, has caught the attention of none other than Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

Dao documented the entire process of creating the wooden replica on his YouTube channel, ND-Woodworking Art. The video has garnered significant attention on social media, receiving over 70 million views on TikTok and earning praise from users worldwide.

After completing the wooden Cybertruck, Dao reached out to Tesla and Musk to offer them his creation as a tribute to his admiration for both. Much to his delight, Musk replied to Dao’s tweet with appreciation and a heart emoji. Now, Dao is in communication with Tesla to arrange for the wooden Cybertruck to be shipped to the US.

In an unexpected turn of events, Dao has even been invited to the Tesla Cybertruck launch event on Thursday by the President of the Tesla car owners club. This attention has not only come from Tesla, as Dao’s other wooden vehicle creations have also earned him recognition from automotive companies. After building a wooden replica of the Audi Skysphere, Dao was invited to meet with the company’s head of design.

All of this excitement comes as Tesla prepares to deliver just 10 Cybertrucks at Thursday’s launch event. While the price of the real Cybertruck has not been confirmed, it is believed that it could potentially cost around $100,000. Musk first announced the vehicle back in 2019, stating that it would start at just under $40,000.

Truong Van Dao’s exceptional woodworking skills and his dedication to creating functional wooden vehicles have led to this unique interaction with Tesla and Musk’s appreciation. In the end, it shows that passion, creativity, and a touch of ingenuity can bring about unexpected opportunities.
