Congress Prevents BRS from Winning in Telangana; Revanth Reddy Leads in Kamareddy Seat with KCR Trailing

Congress party surges ahead in Telangana State Election

The Congress party has secured a comfortable lead in the Telangana State Election, surpassing the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), according to the latest trends released by the Election Commission of India.

As per the latest updates from the Election Commission of India, the Congress is currently leading on 61 seats, while the BRS is trailing with 36 seats and the BJP is leading on 10.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President, Revanth Reddy, is leading from the Kamareddy seat, leaving Chief Minister KCR behind. Reddy, a Member of Parliament representing Malkajgiri Constituency, has been instrumental in leading the Congress to its current position of strength in the state.

Konda Surekha and Naini Rajender Reddy, Congress candidates, are also leading from the Warangal East and West seats respectively, indicating a strong performance by the Congress party in the region.

Meanwhile, Jaffar Hussain from the All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is leading on the Yakutpura seat.

The results of the Telangana State Election will be significant for the Congress party as it looks forward to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and aims to strengthen its presence in the southern region.

The unexpected surge of the Congress party in Telangana has raised eyebrows and turned the political tide in their favor. The recent victory in Karnataka, along with the declining influence of the BJP in the region, has contributed to the Congress party’s resurgence.

Senior Congress leader, Renuka Chowdhury, revealed that the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) leaders are in contact with the Congress party, indicating a possibility of a shift in alliances.

The counting process is underway, and the fate of 2,290 candidates from 109 parties, including national and regional parties, will soon be unveiled. A clear picture of the election results is expected to emerge by noon.

The Telangana State Election, which took place on November 30, has witnessed a significant shift in the political landscape, with the Congress party making substantial strides towards claiming victory.
