Gurugram Property Prices May Increase by 70% as New Collector Rates Proposed for 2024

The district administration in Gurugram has proposed new collector rates for the year 2024, which could result in a significant 70 per cent hike in property prices. This move has prompted officials to seek objections from the public on the proposed rates until December 7. The newly proposed collector rates for both rural and urban areas have been made available on the district administration’s website.

Individuals are encouraged to submit their objections and suggestions on the collector rates by the December 7 deadline. Following this, the administration will forward the objections to the government for review.

Speaking on the matter, District Revenue Officer Poonam Babbar stated that all objections registered will be carefully considered. “Different committees will be involved in this process. Taking all suggestions into account, the proposed rates and suggestions will be submitted to the state government. The government-appointed committee will then review the information and provide feedback to the administration,” she added.

Specifically, the proposed rates include a 40 to 80 per cent increase in the prices of agricultural and commercial land in Badshahpur. In Farrukhnagar, agricultural land prices may see an 87 per cent increase, while commercial land could see a 35 per cent hike. Additionally, adjustments are proposed for 61 to 70 per cent of residential and commercial land rates in the Wazirabad tehsil area.
