Mercedes-Benz GLE Facelift SUV Launched in India, Priced from ₹96.4 Lakh

German automaker Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its latest luxury SUV, the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE, in India. The premium SUV comes in three different variants and features an updated design and enhanced technology. While the overall design remains largely unchanged, minor modifications have been made to the bumper, grille, and LED headlamp.

Priced from ₹96.4 lakh ex-showroom, the Mercedes-Benz GLE offers a range of luxurious features and is now available for bookings. Deliveries are set to begin later this month.

The front of the GLE showcases a single-slat grille paired with updated LED headlights. The bumper has also received a refresh, giving the SUV a more modern appearance. Equipped with standard 20-inch alloy wheels, buyers have the option to upgrade to 22-inch alloy wheels. The rear bumper has also been revamped.

Inside the GLE, the changes are minimal compared to the outgoing model. However, the SUV now boasts a revamped steering wheel with touch-haptic controls and an upgraded infotainment display powered by the new MBUX system.

The Mercedes-Benz GLE is available in three variants: GLE 300 d, GLE 450 d, and GLE 450. Offering two diesel engine options and a single petrol variant, all three come with mild-hybrid technology, ensuring improved fuel efficiency and performance.

The GLE 300 d comes equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine, delivering 269 PS of power and 550 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the GLE 450 d features a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine, offering 367 PS of power and 750 Nm of torque. Lastly, the GLE 450 is powered by a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder petrol engine, delivering 381 PS of power and 500 Nm of torque.

Notable features of the luxury SUV include four-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a 590W 13-speaker Burmester 3D sound system, electrically adjustable front and rear seats with memory function, an air purifier, and an electronic tailgate.
