Hindalco Industries, the metal flagship of the Aditya Birla Group, has reported almost flat consolidated profit at Rs 2,196 crore in the quarter ended September 2023. This is compared to a consolidated profit of Rs 2,205 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal year, according to a filing to BSE by Hindalco Industries.
During the July-September period, the company’s consolidated total income dropped to Rs 54,632 crore from Rs 56,504 crore in the year-ago period, the company said.
Hindalco Industries is a USD 28-billion metal powerhouse and is the world’s largest aluminium company by revenues. It is also a major player in copper, serving more than half of the country’s copper requirement.
