Report: Sam Altman, former CEO of OpenAI, plans to launch a new AI venture.

Former CEO of ChatGPT developer OpenAI, Sam Altman, is reportedly planning to launch a new artificial intelligence (AI) venture. According to reports, he has expressed his love for the OpenAI team and former co-founder and president, Greg Brockman, may also join the new project.

The details of the venture are still unknown, but it has been revealed that Altman has been in discussions with semiconductor executives, including chip designer Arm. The project is expected to take years to develop, and it is unclear whether Altman is representing OpenAI or a separate venture in these discussions.

In addition, there have been reports that former Apple designer Jony Ive and Altman are considering launching an AI hardware device, with renowned designer Ive reportedly in talks with Altman about the project. SoftBank CEO and investor Masayoshi Son has also been involved in discussions about the idea.

Meanwhile, OpenAI’s hardware efforts are still in the early stages, following the disbandment of the company’s robotics research division in July 2021 due to technical roadblocks. With Altman’s new AI venture in the works, the future of AI development looks promising.
