UP International Trade Show: Noida Traffic Police Issue Traffic Advisory for Noida-Greater Noida Expressway
Vehicular movement on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway will be restricted from September 21-25 due to the upcoming international trade fair and MotoGP race, according to a traffic advisory issued by the Noida Traffic Police on Wednesday.
The advisory states that heavy, medium, and light goods vehicles traveling from Delhi to Gautam Buddha Nagar will be restricted from 6 a.m. on Thursday. Additionally, heavy vehicles will not be allowed to use the DND Flyway, Chilla Road, Kalindi Kunj, New Ashok Nagar, and Jhundpura borders during this period.
Furthermore, buses, heavy vehicles, and non-commercial vehicles (except those carrying essential goods like milk, vegetables, and medicines) will not be permitted on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and Yamuna Expressway. The advisory also mentions that there will be restrictions near Pari Chowk, and overall vehicular movement across the city will be affected.
To assist commuters in traffic-related matters during the trade show, the Noida traffic police have provided helpline numbers (9971009001 and 9355057381) for assistance. They are also encouraging people to use the metro during the specified dates.
Noida Metro to Increase Train Frequency for UP International Trade Show
In preparation for the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show from September 21 to 25, the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) will increase the frequency of trains on the Aqua Line.
Normally, metro trains on the Aqua Line run every 10 minutes. However, during peak hours (8 am to 11 am and 5 pm to 8 pm), the trains will run every 7.5 minutes, according to NMRC. Rakesh Kumar, chairman of India Expo Centre and Mart, stated that entry for the general public is free from 3 pm to 8 pm.
Additionally, parking facilities will be available at eight Aqua Line metro stations: Sector 51, Sector 76, NSEZ, Sector 142, Sector-137, Pari Chowk, Alpha 1, and Delta 1.
